System Conversion Procedures for NU-22B®
 
Recover all of the
R-22 from system
following
EPA regulations.





Complete all necessary
system service and
repairs.




Pressurize system
and perform leak
check.

 

 



Pull system into
a vacuum.

 



 


With system off, initially
charge NU-22B in the
system to 80% of
original R-22 charge
as a liquid. Note:
charging system
with NU-22B as a
vapor will reduce
system performance



Start system and allow
pressures to stabilize.



To maximize system
performance on a fixed
orifice system, check
compressor superheat,
on expansion valve
units check system
sub-cooling. Adjust
charge as necessary.
Note: Refer to original
equipment manufact-
urers superheat and
sub-cooling specificat-
ions.

Leak check system and
establish preventive
maintenance schedule.
